Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence in Soil Health and Compost Testing
Woods End Laboratories is proud to announce its official certification as a lab in the STA Program, enhancing the array of compost testing services available to the industry. Founded in 1974, Woods End has established itself as a leader in soil health and compost testing, known for creating the widely utilized Solvita Compost Maturity Test.
As the lab marks its 50th anniversary in 2024, Dr. Rebecca Harvey, CEO, emphasizes the company’s commitment to a practical approach in soil and compost analysis. “Our expertise lies in optimizing organic waste use in agriculture and understanding the impacts of agrochemicals in soil and compost systems,” she stated.
Woods End participates in the Compost Analysis Proficiency Program (CAP), which upholds high standards in compost testing. This program ensures that labs testing STA Certified™ Compost Products comply with the Test Methods for the Evaluation of Composting and Compost (TMECC).
